Plowshare was delighted to present the excellent program on GIs and the Vietnam War by John Ketwig (Friday, October 1, 2021).

John served as an Army Sergeant from September 1967 to September 1968 during the Vietnam War. During that time he went through the Battle of Dak To and the Tet offensive. He spoke on his experiences during the Vietnam War and how it turned him against war, as well as the continuing impact of that war. He also discussed the military-industrial complex.

John is also the author of two books. The first is “…and a hard rain fell: A GI’s True Story of the War in Vietnam”. The second is “Vietnam Reconsidered: The War, the Times, and Why They Matter”.
